Coconut oil isn’t as healthy as you think

If you think coconut oil is healthy, think again.  The American Heart Association says coconut oil in a series of clinical trials dramatically raised the LDL cholesterol levels in test subjects.

LDL is, of course, the “bad” cholesterol.  The test showed coconut oil is no better for you than butter, beef fat and pork lard.

Researchers say that’s because coconut oil is almost entirely comprised of saturated fat.  As a result, the AHA is advising people to stay away from coconut oil.   (*Courtesy:

    • The scientific research results keep changing with the changing times depending upon the input and intended outcome, all of which depends on the pharmaceutical and/or industrial establishment backing/financing such research. Hence, it is always good to stick to tradition when it comes to such routine matters.
